About Lyberaty

In my hometown far away, my lifelong career and passion began without my even realizing!

As a 16yr old school leaver, I happened across a lingerie company called Fantasie Textiles close to home who were looking for sewing machinists and willing to train.

I was invited to an interview and whilst chatting I told the interviewer of my love for creativity, so instead of becoming a machinist, she asked if I would be keen on a design assistant role which I readily accepted.

The position opened up a whole new world, and I quickly found my new obsession. Within months I was learning how to pattern make and grade swimwear, lingerie, and corsetry. I absolutely loved it, the more technical it became the more I enjoyed the challenge.

Since my first encounters with lingerie and swimwear, I have been lucky enough to work for and with many of the top Brands and leading suppliers across the UK. M&S, Shock Absorber, Colette Dinnegan, Gap, Debenhams to name but a few.

Late 2008 I received a phone call in my London office from the then GM of Bendon offering me a job in NZ. This remarkable lady was soon to be on a buying trip in London, so we agreed to meet. After a long lunch and lots of chat we struck a deal, and I accepted the position. I packed my 3 young girls and a few suitcases on to a plane and never looked back.

Since being in NZ, I have again worked with multiple brands, businesses and small start ups across a wide range of products from the most basic tees to the most specialized sports bras. Outerwear, underwear, infants to plus sizes, I think it’s all been covered.

My passion was set in stone long ago and I’m super excited to start yet another journey to who knows where!!
